The purpose of blogging

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Whilst on the tube (see: London Underground) this morning, I began to wonder to myself why I actually blogged.

I am pretty sure I’ve made a rambling post like this before (maybe almost a year ago now :/) but that was lost in the great hard drive crash of August 2006. Wow, that actually was a year ago. Is it really the case that I reconsider my purpose (see: Avenue Q – Purpose) every year?

If my memory serves me correctly, which it very rarely does, I have come to the same conclusions as last time:

  • Blog less about me (do you really care what I do? :-p)
  • Blog more about technical issues

So, I have decided to write the following two articles as a start. They should be appearing online over the next week or so:

  • How to setup a FREE Hosting Company
  • Defining Managed IT Services

I shall also keep you up to date with what I’m doing as well. At some point soon I will get round to updating this blog with the fact that I have moved house, setup a new company and had some interesting fun with NatWest when setting up a bank account.

Well, there are a few treats for you to look forward to :-)

Deepthroating Gherkins

Monday, July 9th, 2007

It seems that a while ago, at a party, one of my (now) flatmates had a few to drink and decided that deepthroating a gherkin would be a good idea.

In true party style, this was captured on video and is below:

So far, there have been 14,100 views. Ken is famous!

#linux in Brighton

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

So, I went to Brighton (again) to meet up (again) with the #linux bunch.

In attendance, we had:

  • idimmu
  • Jeekay
  • RR|Away
  • webvictim
  • SIR-Millar
  • HRH_H_Crab
  • queball

On the beach, we decided it would be fun to bury webvictim in the sand (read: stones).

There once was a gay boy called Andy
Who said being a boy wasn’t dandy
He went out with a shirt
And came back with a skirt
And said to his mates call me Candy

People at the office are mean :'(
