STOP 0x0000007B

I recently got this error on a brand new Lenovo X301 when trying to install Windows XP over Vista – the only sane thing to do.

The fix is simple, disable AHCI and revert to compatibility mode.

You will then be able to boot the Windows XP installer and all will work well :-)

Does not work. I am not installing anything new, when start normally it does not show the Ctrl+alt+del screen, if I run the safe mode appear the blue screen of death with the error.

Additionally does not recognize the disc when I run the XP Cd in repair mode.

I tried your advice and show another BSoD. I am backup the disc before to follow.
